Future Plans

TRINCULO is now at Milford marina for three months after leaving Wardleys at the end of May.
We sailed there via the Isle of Man and Ireland arriving in mid June. The guys left me there for Barbara to join me for a few days, to check out the area before taking me home

2009 Season

The last (2009) season in Scotland was generally disappointing, due to the weather. We had a very good trip up north, with fair weather and good breezes, but that was it. Then, the forecast were poor and the weather unreliable and we only had a few relatively short cruises.
This winter TRINCULO has settled well into her new permanent winter berth at Wardleys Marine YC. This was almost completed, to a standard acceptable for berthing, during the last summer and is now complete.
There was little work to do apart from normal maintenance and some small jobs like finding the problem with the port navigation light, installing a secondary VHF antenna and a cleat on the transom for the dingy. During the winter the fresh water pump failed (not unexpected as it had sounded like it was on its way out). It has been replaced with a new, more powerful one and seems to be a big improvement. The fresh water system has been flushed with ‘Puricleen’

  There are many sailing opportunities in the area, from short cruises around the very large harbour area, further beyond to the local islands of Skomer etc., or even further to north Cornwall, Lundy, the Scilly Is. or southern Ireland.

  The delivery was sealed with an optimum crew, plus one. Kev joined us in the IOM after we had sailed there following a stop in Fleetwood. We had the following weekend in Dublin before arriving at Milford Haven the Thursday afternoon, 10th June. Kev’s full story is now on the site for you to read.

    I been been away with my motor home but am now back and looking for a plan for August/September.
Barrie has booked 30 July to 8 Aug for himself and Sue. Any ideas for the rest of the month?
